Privacy policy

This policy explains how the Stazus service operator handles personal information and monitoring data.

Scope and operator

This policy applies to the Stazus website, application, Developer API, MCP service, support, and beta program. Stazus is operated from Western Australia. Contact the operator at contact@jdqc.dev.

Information we collect

  • Account data, including your name, username, email address, verification state, and identity-provider account identifier.
  • Team data, including memberships, roles, invitations, contact methods, and notification subscriptions.
  • Monitoring data, including project and endpoint configuration, check results, latency, incidents, comments, and checkpoints.
  • Security and service data, including request times, routes, status codes, request identifiers, audit events, and network information supplied by hosting providers.
  • Support and beta-program messages that you send to us.

Monitoring configuration can contain confidential values. Do not enter personal information unless the check requires it and you have authority to use it.

How we collect and use information

We collect information from you, your team administrators, monitored HTTP services, the identity provider, and service infrastructure. We use it to authenticate users, run checks, detect problems, coordinate incidents, send notifications, support users, prevent abuse, secure the service, and meet legal obligations.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use third-party advertising pixels.

Storage, disclosure, and overseas processing

We use providers for identity, cloud hosting, content delivery, email delivery, and security. We disclose information to these providers only when they need it to provide their service. We can also disclose information when law requires it, when this protects users or the service, or during a business transfer.

Cloud and identity providers can process information outside Australia. Their processing locations can change with provider infrastructure and service configuration. Contact us for the current provider and location information that applies to your account.

Security and retention

We use access controls, encryption, audit records, request limits, destination checks, dependency scanning, and tested backups. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

We keep information while an account or team uses Stazus. We can keep it longer when we need it for backups, security, disputes, or legal duties. Backup cycles can delay final removal.

Your choices and requests

You can update much of your profile and team information in the application. You can ask for access, correction, export, or deletion by emailing contact@jdqc.dev. We can request information that confirms your identity and authority.

Use the same address to make a privacy complaint. Describe the issue and the outcome you seek. We will investigate and respond. You can also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner if its jurisdiction applies.

Children and policy updates

Stazus is a business service and is not directed to children. Contact us if you believe a child supplied personal information.

We will update the effective date when this policy changes. We will give additional notice when a material change affects current users.
