Maintenance windows

Use a maintenance window when planned work can cause expected monitor failures or slow responses.

What maintenance does

Stazus continues to run and record checks for covered endpoints. While the window is in effect, Stazus:

• Sets under_maintenance on covered project and endpoint responses.
• Marks covered check results as alert-suppressed.
• Does not open, update, or resolve automatic incidents from those checks.
• Excludes the suppressed checks from uptime statistics and latency baseline learning.

Maintenance does not block access to Stazus or to your monitored service. Manual incident management also remains available.

Choose a scope

An endpoint-scoped window does not put its whole project under maintenance.

Schedule maintenance

1. Open Maintenance from the team navigation.
2. Select Schedule maintenance.
3. Enter a name and optional reason.
4. Select the coverage and target.
5. Set the start and end date and time.
6. Select Repeat this window if the same window must run on a fixed interval.
7. Select Schedule.

The page shows whether each schedule is under maintenance now, scheduled, between recurring windows, disabled, or ended. It also shows the number of covered projects and endpoints.

Disable or enable a schedule

Disable a schedule to stop its current and future suppression. If another active window covers the same endpoint, that endpoint stays under maintenance.

Enable a schedule to restore its occurrences. Enabling an ended one-time schedule does not change its original dates.

Run checks during maintenance

Scheduled checks continue automatically. You can also run a diagnostic check from an endpoint page.

Check history identifies suppressed results with alert_suppressed: true. Use the first checks after maintenance to confirm that the endpoint recovered.

Use the endpoint maintenance time

The endpoint editor still provides Maintenance until for a simple endpoint-only window that starts immediately. Use the team Maintenance page when you need a future start, a recurring schedule, or project and team coverage.

Stop checks instead

Disable an endpoint when you need to stop scheduled checks. A disabled endpoint keeps its configuration and history.
